Lyons Magnus, a local expanding food and beverage manufacturer has immediate openings for experienced skilled Maintenance Technicians (Mechanics). All candidates will have at least five (5) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Qualified candidates will possess excellent electrical troubleshooting skills and must be versed in troubleshooting industrial equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude in regards to conveyors, case formers, fillers, palletization and other industrial equipment is required. Only candidates who have the skills listed above need apply. Departmental Mission:

  • Maintenance Team
    • Supports the production department in maintaining a Working and Safe, environment.
    • Assist in GMP Master Sanitation Program within specified work area.
    • Continuing effort in Preventative and Predictive Maintenance.
    • Assist the Maintenance clerk in Inventory control.
    • Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing that daily routines and task are completed in a timely fashion.
    • Other duties at the discretion of management.

Key Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Daily Preventative or Predictive maintenance based on the established schedule. This would include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Production Lines
  • Building Maintenance
  • Rack Repair
  • Boiler and other vital components
  • Waste Water
  • Ensure that the maintenance team is being productive and proactive in supporting the production team.
  • Ensure that fellow mechanics and any other personnel are following the inventory control systems set in place.
  • General housekeeping of Maintenance Ownership areas to include the workshop, Boiler room, Compressor area, Pipe and Metal storage area, Parts area.
  • To assist the Maintenance Manager in the overseeing of project work and outside contractors.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in scheduling repair work and predictive Maintenance.
  • Supporting the LME Safety program, including enforcement of the Lockout/ tagout Policy and insuring that the equipment safety devices are operational.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ten years of working experience in a maintenance department or other technical related training.
  • Ability to direct and Motivate other team members to complete specific tasks
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to give technical guidance to other team members.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Flexible work schedule and the ability to work other shifts as needed and to work overtime and weekends.
