Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of electronics/technical knowledge/troubleshooting skills
  • Reading and interpreting schematics and diagrams to help in troubleshooting and repair of electronic devices to component level
  • Capable of using electrical testing equipment to diagnose problems.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of show control -DMX
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, be self-motivated and provide a positive work environment both inside the department and throughout the shop.
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, training, and on-call maintenance.
  • Awareness of health and safety issues at all times
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work at various heights
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs.
  • Valid passport, able to travel
  • Prior experience within the professional theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity (electrical, mechanical, special effects, pyrotechnics, lasers) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Accountabilities:

To provide support in the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse in the following activities:

  • Testing, troubleshooting and component level repair
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Inbound and outbound order processing
  • Unloading and loading of trucks
  • Put away and picking of items
  • Processing of return to vendor items
  • Cycle counts
  • Ensure the warehouse is organized, kept neat, tidy and free from obstructions
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check in and out of equipment for tours and shows
  • Execute or follow-up on preventative maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Assist in pyro equipment inventory updates including maintenance logs
  • Assist in the maintenance, repair and packing of all special effects gear including atmospheric, pyrotechnic, water and cryo effects
