Performs work of routine difficulty in facility custodial and maintenance tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Performs routine plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, and carpentry tasks with minimum supervision.
  2. Installs electrical equipment and repairs or replaces wiring, fixtures, and bulbs.
  3. Installs various flooring surfaces including tile and vinyl plank flooring
  4. Repairs or replaces brick and plaster walls.
  5. Paints walls, floors, ceilings, or fixtures.
  6. Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other plumbing equipment and opens clogged drains.
  7. Repairs various types of furniture, doors, windows, floors, gates, roofs, and ceilings.
  8. Builds shelves, assembles office and residential furniture and performs repairs as necessary.
  9. Under the direction of Human Resources, assists in coordination of maintenance of agency vehicles
  10. Performs other related duties in accordance with agency growth and changes
Qualifications at Hire


  • High school or equivalent required


  • 2 years of related experience/vocational training in the maintenance field


  • CPR
  • First Aid
  • Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance, required

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Arizona Driver's license, proof of current insurance and willingness to use personal vehicle.Driver's license is an essential requirement for performing duties for this position.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record - no more than 2 moving violations or a license suspension in past 3 years.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to and from clients' homes and/or other relevant organizations/agencies.


  • General building maintenance and repairs knowledge and skills including but not limited to, the use of materials and equipment in plumbing, carpentry, dry wall, painting, floor care, electrical, HVAC, telephone, motor vehicles, fire & security alarms, etc.
