Job Description

Ryerson Inc., one of the largest metals distributors in the US, is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our warehouse team in Charlotte, NC. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the successful candidate will perform major repairs to equipment and facilities, routine PM, and other duties as assigned.Other responsibilties will include but will not be limited to: ? Diagnosing electrical and/or mechanical troubles, makes repairs and/or suggestions to the same? Maintains inventory of maintenance supplies, material and equipment? Inspects, lubricates and adjusts equipment in accordance with Preventive Maintenance program? Makes minor repairs to building and helps to maintain heating, air conditioning and ventilating equipment? Job details include preventive/predictive maintenance ? Spare parts inventory control? Vendor sourcing? Project management? Equipment breakdown repair ? Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Candidate must have a minimum five years high level maintenance experience, working in a fast paced environment. Previous coil processing maintenance experience a plus.Experience requires extensive mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic background. Ability to read blue prints is a must with aptitude to trouble-shoot problems on older equipment.Must possess a strong desire to operate in a pro-active environment & be a self starter with good organizational skills.
