PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Responsible for the day to day maintenance of all aspects of equipment/building maintenance functions, safety, and security as it pertains to the business operations. Provides expertise in general building maintenance including proficiencies in build trades such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical and general building repairs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Respond to maintenance calls.

  • Troubleshooting and repairing of facility support equipment.

  • Minor plumbing repairs; faucets, toilets and sinks, etc.

  • Minor carpentry repairs; sheet rock, etc.

  • Minor electrical repairs; change ballasts, light switches, receptacles and bulbs.

  • Other minor repairs; walls, flooring, paint, and signs, etc.

  • Preventative maintenance of assigned equipment and systems.

  • Coordinate with site contractors as assigned

  • Respond to facility emergencies as necessary to ensure prompt resolution of maintenance issues.

  • Plans budgets and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates.

  • Develop and administer annual budget.

  • Inspects construction and installation progress

  • Oversee Parking Program

  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of facility

  • Interfaces with company employees in all departments and exhibit a professional/confidential behavior including leadership, having a sense of urgency, independent judgement, working industriously, and help to create a cohesive, productive unity dedicated to the achievement of corporate goals.

  • Other duties as assigned or required

    KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:

  • Associates degree, technical or equivalent work experience.

  • Knowledge of building codes.

  • Proficiencies in building trades including painting, electrical, mechanical and plumbing and general building repairs including HVAC systems.

  • Proficiency with PC-based office computers, including intermediate operational proficiency level with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, required

    EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

  • 5-10 years of related experience.

  • Experience in maintenance trades

  • Experience in maintaining facility systems typically found in a high technology environment. Familiarity with telecommunications equipment is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, using good judgment, initiative and analytical abilities, anticipate likely needs, and make solid recommendations.

  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively.

  • Ability to work as a team member and ability to be very flexible, adaptable, and to work under pressure.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities; and ability to maintain good working relationships while dealing appropriately with sensitive and confidential matters and with a wide variety of personal and telephone contacts

  • Requires above average reading, verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in business English and grammar; good arithmetic skills and attention to detail to maintain records and process reports.

  • Conscientious in matters of personal work organization, assistance to mangers in organizational processes, detailed record-keeping, and follow up.

  • Must be able to multi-task, remain calm, and adapt to the ever-changing requirements of a dynamic company.

  • Must be available and willing to work flexible schedules, as needed. And available on-call for emergencies
