R M Schulte and Associates has an opportunity for a Field Service/MaintenanceTechnician in the Dayton, OH area.

JOB SUMMARY

The Field Service/Maintenance Technician (FST) provides a variety of services within the manufacturing facility and in the field servicing the customer base. Internally this position will use their electrical and mechanical skills in an organized and systematic means to troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment on a timely basis to reduce equipment downtime. As part of maintaining the up time of shop CNC equipment the FST designs and executes preventative maintenance programs for the facility machines and equipment. Externally the FST will install, diagnose, repair, and provide customer training. This position requires proficiency operating hand and power tools, volt and amp meters, and Allen Bradley PLC software. This individual will maintain a clean and safe work area both within the manufacturing facility and customer sites. Appropriate PPE will be worn and LOTO practices followed.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

? Troubleshoot, maintain, and install machines and equipment, devices, controls, motors, and PLCs.

? Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

? Documents actions by completing production, quality, and Service Report forms.

? Responsible for all mechanical and electrical maintenance of the manufacturing facility and perform corrective, preventative, and productive maintenance on existing production related equipment.

? Use of Allen Bradley programming software to complete PLC and HMI programming requirements.

? Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS

? Experience diagnosing and repairing servo positioning machines.

? Experience in hydraulic fluid power schematics and PLC programming logic.

? Strong analytical problem solving skills of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and controls circuits.

? Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics.

? Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).

? Detailed oriented with a high focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

? Proficient in the use of a calculator, micrometer, and veneer calipers.

? Highly professional oral and written communication skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

? PLC Controls and instrumentation experience.

? Hydraulic, pneumatic, and all electric servo machine experience.

? 10 years Field Service and/or CNC maintenance technician experience.

EQUIPMENT USED

? Hand held and power tools

? Basic quality metrology tools

? Electrical testing equipment

WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

? Manufacturing Shop Floor, Standing, Walking, and Lifting 50 lbs.
