General Purpose: The Skilled Maintenance for the Maintenance Dept. Will be responsible for the mechanical & Technical requirements within the operation to meet the departmental goals and objectives (KPI's). He/She will be responsible to the Department Supervisor & responsible for the leadership/development of the maintenance technical personnel for career resilience & departmental success within the vision, mission, & core values established. The Team Leader must have achieved a satisfactory level of technical & professional skill/knowledge of the equipment & resources within the Maintenance Department to perform at a high level of accomplishment Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
Advanced electrical skills.
Advanced Process Control Knowledge.
Advanced mechanical skills.
Team building skills.
Attendance at all loss control programs presented this year.
Must be willing to attend outside training to upgrade skill levels as it pertains to the job and business at hand within the operations.
Advanced understanding of preventive maintenance and master sanitation.
Follows established plant procedures and offer recommendations as needed.
Follow good manufacturing practices.
Assist with job safety analysis and on-the-job training of existing and new employees.
Attendance at educational training seminars as needed (i.e. Loss control Training).
Attendance at and participate in safety meetings.
Follow established Plant/Regional safety rules.
Report unsafe acts, conditions, and accidents to Supervisor/Team Leader and assist in accident investigation.
Assist with duties in other Departments as needed.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED: or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to learn computers and how to operate one effectively. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to solve problems on the job, ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram and schedule form.
The ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rates, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and a correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Titles Reporting to this Position:

Licensing and Certification: 1st Class or Chief Boiler operators license and be part of the emergency response team.
