Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on position with the following responsibilities:

  • (Work closely with Director of Property Management) to oversee operational and financial management of 3-5+ apartment communities within your assigned portfolio.
  • Ensure occupancy targets are achieved through leasing and resident retention.
  • Create value for stakeholders through meeting NOI and revenue goals.
  • Oversee and contribute to annual budget process.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of competitive properties and general market knowledge of all transactions in your assigned region.
  • Preparation of monthly reports and financial reviews.
  • Effectively leverage human capital talent to execute operational strategies. Hire, train, and promote team members in your assigned portfolio.
  • Manage performance issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Empower managers to work collaboratively to accomplish business goals.
  • Ensure execution of marketing plans within your assigned portfolio.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in multifamily property management required.
  • 4-6 years of experience managing people with a strong, positive, motivational leadership style.
  • Recent work history should include portfolio management of at least 900+ total units in a multi-site setting.
  • Ability to travel within Mid-Atlantic Region.
  • Industry background should include overseeing properties in multiple markets and across various property types.
  • BA/BS Degree strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with property management software platforms, preferably Yardi and LRO.
  • Strong financial aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of building consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong management, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
  • High energy, self-starter who can work independently.
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
