  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on light rail vehicle's mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Inspects vehicles as scheduled for preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and test light rail vehicle systems and equipment.
  • Completes preventive maintenance as scheduled, minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Assists or is assisted by system supplier's technical representative.
  • Utilize bench and portable test equipment for diagnosing, testing and repairing light rail vehicle equipment.
  • Operates large & specialty shop equipment as needed to perform tasks.
  • Reads and interprets electrical/electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals and parts catalogs as required.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 40 pounds if necessary on an occasional basis.

Experience: Military or vocational certification in automotive maintenance or aircraft maintenance.

  • 3+ years maintenance experience in mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Shift: Second 3pm - 11pm
