Job Description

The responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to perform a wide range of highly skilled maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, repair machines, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes and contributes to the growth and profitability of Basin Precision Machining LLC.
Install and repair plumbing and electrical circuits to code.
Ability to read and comprehend machine electrical prints, ladder diagrams, mechanical drawings, work orders and parts manuals.
Maintain comprehension and troubleshoot robotics. Troubleshoot CNC machines using machines control panel. Ability to use precision equipment, PLC's and software.
Perform project activities as assigned in project planning meetings.
Demonstrate a sense of urgency in resolving all safety and production related issues and motivate team members to act in a similar manner.
Work with others to ensure Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM) tasks are identified and scheduled for all cell(s)/machines/equipment within the assembly/manufacturing processes.
Work with others to ensure Operator Performed Maintenance (OPM) forms showing how to perform TPM tasks are utilized as the standard work form.
Guide review of (OPM) forms, ensuring necessity, accuracy, frequency and ownership of each task are reviewed.
Develop safety focused solutions to production processes and issues and promote safe work habits.
Assist in strategic planning and capability assessments in order to ensure equipment is properly utilized and maintained for maximum effect.
Manage and promote usage of machine repair component inventory systems, ensuring effective and accurate usage and reporting. Ensure suppliers stock critical repair components. Coordinate with and schedule appropriate vendors.
Understand and control costs in regards to maintenance activities, inventory, and sourced support and be able to communicate those costs to others.
Fully understand one's own responsibilities well enough to demonstrate those activities to others.
Understand the time it takes to accomplish one's own responsibilities, and the responsibilities of team members, in relation to varying project complexity and use that understanding to offer accurate time estimations on task completion.
Report any issues that impact successful completion of tasks or assigned projects quickly with all information required to assess the issue.

An Associate's Degree in a related field, or demonstrate equivalent or related experience and/or training. Have three to five years of recent experience in a technical support or equipment maintenance related field. Have previous experience with manufacturing equipment maintenance (CNC turn, horizontal mill, vertical mill, mill-turn, broaching and hobbing a plus.)
Ability to self-motivate, motivate staff, manage personal time, and estimate one's own time to completion accurately. Ability to carry out detailed problem solving and communicate how problems were solved.
