OVERVIEW: The Field Maintenance Technician is responsible for the 100% completion of daily service calls for our facilities maintenance division. Field Maintenance Technicians need to work with a sense of urgency and punctuality, present a professional appearance to our end user clients and should be knowledgeable in a variety of general maintenance scopes of work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Candidate should have comprehensive knowledge and experience performing work in the below areas.

o Break- fix/Handyperson/General Repairs

o Interior/Exterior Door adjustments and repairs

o ACT/Ceiling Tile Replacements

o Fixture Repairs (Slat-wall, Shelving, Displays)

o D├ęcor, Frames/Art Hangings, Graphics (Wall & Ceilings)

o Surgical Demolition, Remediation & Clean-up

o Carpentry, millwork, trim and installations

o Drywall Repair & Painting

o Retail Display & Fixture Assembly/Installation

o Flooring Installation & Repair

o Preventative & Routine Maintenance Measures

o Light Plumbing, Commercial Valve Repair (Manual & Electronic)

o Toilet, Drain, Sink, Urinal Clogs as well as Faucet Repairs & Replacements

o Light Electrical, Bulbs & Ballasts Replacements

Communicate effectively and professionally with a variety of people across various backgrounds and levels of experience.

Complete work orders in a timely and accurate manner and clean up after work is completed.

Communicate through various applications: email, phone, text, online portals, cloud based file sharing.

Complete reporting/documenting of all work per client requirements, as well as tracking time on jobs.

Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to effectively communicate with all team members, customers, clients, patrons, staff, contractors, vendors and supervisors.

Able to maintain a positive attitude and provide solutions to challenges when they arise.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

  • 1-3 years of experience managing field based projects with a demonstrated record of success.
  • Willingness to travel up to 2-3 hours from home base to complete assigned projects.
  • Excellent work ethic, amazing communication skills, integrity, professionalism, and a sense of humor.
  • Must be able to provide a reliable form of transportation and a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, able to pass a background check and drug screening.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Effectively use a tablet and mobile devices as a means of reporting and documenting work. Knowledge of Service Fusion software a plus.
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office software and cloud based file synchronization applications. (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive)

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to lift at least 75 pounds
  • Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable and able to work on a ladder of 20 feet.
