Sr. Maintenance Technician

- Provide Maintenance Services to eliminate downtime on production machines.
Position reports to the Maintenance Manager.Safety
:Strive to achieve "0" Injuries, WestRock all time safety goal.Actively participate in plant STOP Program
.Participate in daily safety meetings.Enforce safety policies.
Promote safety w/ new ideas.Conduct safety audits in maintenance area.
Complete training as required.Hands Up when starting machine.Cost:Research best prices for replacement parts utilized on press
Always get competitive quotes for project to assure best prices possible.
Keep cost down by minimizing overtime, use OT form for requesting overtime when needed.Minimize spare parts inventory to critical parts only and items frequently used only.
Production:Assist in achieving production goals.Participate in hourly dialog w/ press.
Attend and participate in Daily SPM meetings.Focus on top downtimes and supply corrective actions as needed.Provide positive work force through promotion of teamwork.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair any mechanical and electrical problems with production machines and equipment. (keep unscheduled downtime at 2.0% )Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on de-energized circuits with production machines and equipment.
Ability to work independently as well as with team members.
Proficient in mechanical and electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
Responsible for ordering and inventory of electrical and mechanical spare parts.Train new maintenance personnel.Work with management in setting work priority.Be an active team member in working with the press crews. (help out when needed)Communicate with management and press operators on daily needs
High school diploma required and technical training in electrical/mechanical field.
Required:TPC Training or Electrical License
