This is a third shift position. 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday with possible overtime.
Perform routine adjustments and maintenance of Alene Candles facilities and support equipment, as well as electrical/mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing areas.
PRIMARY FUNCTION/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adjust and maintain standard and custom electrical/mechanical production and building support equipment (including pneumatic machinery).
Perform all types of building maintenance along the lines of carpentry, plumbing, etc.
Perform grounds and landscaping functions. May direct a small crew.
Perform preventive maintenance procedures to reduce loss of production time.
Maintain documentation for the equipment.
Maintain specialized tools.
Use of welders, acetylene torches and brazing or soldering equipment.
Maintain Alene standards of performance and comply with housekeeping, safety policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Under moderate supervision operate from established and well-known procedures and practices. Position encounters regular and recurring work situations with moderate complexity. Most of the work is verified by another person. Errors could create some production losses, delays and loss of funds. Contacts are usually within the Company.
SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to read and understand blueprints. Good knowledge of plumbing and construction techniques, in addition to principles and theories of mechanical/electrical repair.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate of technical school or minimum 1 year experience working with various types of production and building support equipment.
PC skills to include at minimum Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong basic skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
