Looking for a candidate that we can add to our maintenance team that can assist with making our company successful. The right candidate should possess skills in communication, troubleshooting, and above average computer skills. As a maintenance technician you will be performing diverse mechanical and electrical activities to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive maintenance systems and processes to support the company operations, while maintaining compliant with all safety requirements per established company policies.

Skills needed for the position would include but not be limited to ability to repair and maintain machinery, industrial equipment, building and facilities utilities. Requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including: mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, pneumatics, mathematics, hydraulics, carpentry and electrical repair to include control wiring, 110 volts, 220 volts, and 480 volts three phase power and 12DC. Along with large BTU furnaces. Knowledge of 5-S and lean manufacturing and OSHA guidelines-lock-out tag-out and confined space training-PPE-Hazardous chemicals.

Duties of this position would include but not be limited to:

  • Perform machine repair, and preventative maintenance

  • Custom fabrication and welding

  • Use grinders, drills and hand tools

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production to minimize down time, diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments

  • Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties, make repairs and adjustments as needed

  • Install and repair electrical components such as Transformers, Drives- wiring electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment with a broad knowledge of Honeywell burner controls and Allen Bradley controls

  • Follow established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required without fail

  • Regularly inspects for plant safety

  • Maintain current forklift license, OSHA required training, and other training as required

  • Forklift and equipment PM's

  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas

  • Regular attendance and other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required are:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Preference for additional education with an Associate's Degree in Electro-Mechanical

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a hands on maintenance role in a manufacturing plant

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and with changing environmental conditions

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record

  • Ability to lift over 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand or bend for 30 or more minutes at any given time

  • Ability to communicate professionally with all individuals within the company

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software preferred

  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals

  • Have the ability to work unsupervised and diagnose and troubleshoot using owner's manuals for specific equipment

  • Must have their own set of tools with electrical testing equipment

  • Must be forklift certified, or have the ability to achieve certification upon placement in the position.
