Job Description

Our client has exceeding their customer expectations for over a quarter century - selling/leasing new and used commercial trucks; supporting their customers with quality Service and Parts. Your experience with commercial trucks or farm equipment would be ideal to successfully relate to their trucking, farmer, municipality, public, and private sector clients.

Summary of Position:

You would be responsible for pursuing, developing, and maintaining customer relationships for the primary purpose of selling/leasing new and used commercial trucks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment, has negotiation and industry experience, is detail oriented, will go the extra mile to assist the dealership's customers and is highly motivated to assist the truck sales department in achieving its profit and sales goals. This position reports to and works under the direct supervision of the Truck Sales Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a member of the truck sales team, you will:

  • Initiate business development to grow client base
  • Successfully maintain existing accounts; develop loyal and long-lasting client relationships through personal attention and follow up.
  • Utilize established sales methods to sell new & used trucks; consulting with them with long-term focus
  • Provide superior customer service and strong after-sales support; building solid relationshipsji
  • Generate revenue, and meet or exceed attainable goals
  • Assist F&I with sales of loan contracts, selling extended warranty, insurance and other related services
  • Understand current trends within our equipment industry, and provide market feedback to our organization

Application Requirements:

  • Customer service attitude
  • Prior experience developing a territory including researching lead generation and cold calling.
  • Proven sales experience with medium-duty/heavy-duty trucks or farm equipment
  • Proven history of cultivating new business and retaining a customer base; an established client network an asset
  • Significant knowledge of heavy duty truck equipment; technically proficient
  • Excellent driving record; commercial license a requirement ( existing or to obtain)
  • Highly self-motivated and organized
  • Continuous learning aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including formal presentations.
  • Ability to listen and accurately assess customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed goals.
  • PC literacy is necessary especially MS Office
  • Must consent to and pass pre-employment screening and drug screen
