Job Description

Regional Manager, Multifamily Real Estate evaluate & direct the overall performance of multifamily and mixed use commercial real estate portfolio. Will be tasked to make strategic decisions to maximize performance and NOI while maintaining pride of ownership, physical property condition and operational integrity. The role entails directing partners and property managers on a portfolio of real estate assets that are owned as LLC syndicates. Products are C+ to A- located in California (West Coast) and Southeast US and may have different risk profiles that range from stabilized to value add. The ideal candidate will be required to manage both stabilized assets as well as development projects, including: repositioning, lease-up and financing. Must have 7+ years in multifamily experience and a minimum of 3,500 units managed. The asset manager will work in concert with the construction team and disposition team to develop and to sell stabilized properties. Qualifications include: 7 to 10 years' commercial real estate experience managing multifamilyMust have experience working with multi-family real estatePerson with field experience, property management is a plusĀ· Experience managing 3,500 units and upStrong Excel financial modeling and cash flow analysis skills requiredSuperior written and verbal skillsForecast 5 years pro forma and execute business plan of Actual vs BudgetWill have a team of analyst and admin support - must be able to run their own teamTravel required - Once/Twice per month in SoutheastProvide general management and direction for a portfolio of properties. This includes frequent contact and direction with property managers, operating partners or leasing brokers.Oversee the budget process and preparation of the annual strategic plan for each property.Review periodic property reports and track operating performance. Prepare regular updates summarizing.Provide assistance to the transactions team for both the acquisition and disposition of properties.Negotiate contracts with property management and leasing firms.Analyze lease terms, prepare lease proposals, and negotiate leases as appropriate.Understand general real estate trends and individual property markets / submarkets.Supervise and train property onsite teams. Oversee third party and in-house property managementUnderstand substantial CAPEX and heavy value-addPrepare analyses of various investment decisions - leasing; financing; acquisition; hold/sell.Awareness of portfolio goals, and ability to develop and monitor specific plans for individual investments that contribute to these goals.Ability to use financial and valuation software including Excel and Yardi.Ability to negotiate acceptable terms with a third party.Understanding of transaction due diligence process.Must be located in Greater Los Angeles area Compensation includes competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) and target bonus
